Centurion athletics has returned to Montcalm Community College after nearly 40 years. MCC is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA).

High School All-Star Volleyball Game

Sidney Campus

 

Montcalm Community College is planning to host the 1st annual high school all-star volleyball game on June 13, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. This will be a fun opportunity to gather the best high school seniors in the area to compete one last time! To play you must be a 2024 graduating high school senior, have received all-conference recognition, and a waiver needs to be signed.

June 18 - June 20

Stride Strong: Cross Country Camp - Segment 1

Sidney Campus

 

Youths entering 6th through 8th grades. Camp Directors are Coach Kevin Sweeney, Coach Penny Dora and MCC Cross Country Student Athletes. The cost is $30 for one segment or $50 for both.

 

Get ready for an exhilarating running adventure! The Segment 1 camp is designed for runners in middle school to inspire a love for running, build endurance and foster a supportive team spirit. Athletes will participate in distance runs each day of camp and should be able to run two to three miles. They will engage in specialized training sessions focused on building endurance and will gradually increase their running distances and develop the stamina needed for cross country races. The camp will foster a sense of camaraderie through team-building exercises, weight room activities, swimming/pool time and other fun activities. This camp is the first of two segments. Athletes will receive a T-shirt at each camp segment. Segment 2 will culminate with a 5K race.

July 22 - July 25

Volleyball Camp

Sidney Campus

 

Centurion volleyball camp costs $70 with a Centurion volleyball shirt included and will be taught by MCC’s Volleyball coach Kara Youngs and Centurion Volleyball players.


MCC Centurion Athletics are running volleyball camps this summer for students in first grade through 12th grade! The 2-day Volleyball Camp is designed for all levels to help assist volleyball players in developing and improving their volleyball game through skill work and drills.

Grades 1-4: Mon-Tues, July 22-23 from 4:30-6 p.m.

Grades 5-6: Mon-Tues, July 22-23 from 6:30-8 p.m.

Grades 7-8: Wed-Thurs, July 24-25 from 4-6 p.m. 

Grades 9-12: Wed-Thurs, July 24-25 from 6-8 p.m.

This camp is the second of two segments and builds upon segment 1, with increased miles. Athletes will participate in runs on each of the three days of camp and should come to this camp able to run four to five miles. Athletes participate in running and stretching each day. They will also have team building exercises, weight room activities, swimming/pool time and other fun events. Athletes will receive a T-shirt at each of the two segments, with this segment culminating with a 5K race.
